We are pleased to host Jim McLaughlin, Mathematics Department Head for grades 6-12, and Tracy Manousaridis, Elementary Math Specialist. They will discuss the following attributes in the study of math – persistence, communication, resilience, critical thinking, logic, curiosity, creativity, organization, and collaboration – and how Weston students are supported in their learning. All members of the community are welcome to attend this discussion.
Our first meeting of the school year was held on Wednesday, September 26th in the Case House Large Conference Room. The Weston Public Schools and the Weston PAC hosted a presentation entitled "Back to School Strategies for Managing Executive Function Challenges." WPS special educators Kate Rodger and Thea Ruggiano provided specific strategies for managing executive function challenges at both the elementary and secondary levels.
--- All of our meetings are open to the public. We encourage you to attend and learn more about Special Education in our schools. Representatives from the Weston PAC, the Office of Student Services, and the School Committee attend these meetings.
